On June 5, 2022, ACEE experiment unit, together with the cooperation of the Investor, general contractor and related contractors completed the first grid connection of the residual heat generation system of Thanh My Cement Plant. Thanh My Cement Factory is located in Dong Ram village, Thanh My town, Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province. The factory’s WHR system has a capacity of 7.5MW, contributing to partially ensuring the power demand for the entire factory, reducing production costs and improving the competitiveness of products. In particular, the power station takes advantage of residual heat to minimize dust released into the environment, reducing CO2 emissions causing the greenhouse effect. According to Decision No. 56/QD-TTg dated August 18, 2020 of the Prime Minister accepts the Strategy for development of building materials in Vietnam for the period of 2021 – 2030, with orientation to 2050, by the end of 2025, 100% of cement production lines with a capacity of 2,500 tons of clinker/day or more must install and operate a power generation system to take advantage of waste heat.
